Are men built for wedding planning?
Today we had a meeting with our wedding consultant. I had no idea what was going on.
Here are a few snippets of the meeting:
Consultant: Have you decided on what you will have for a wedding breakfast?
In My head: Breakfast? It’s at 2:30pm.
Rachel: We’re still deciding the menu.
In My Head: Hmm, Rachel seems to understand.
Rachel: Do you have any candelabras?
In Hy Head: That sounds French.
Consultant: Yes, we have candelabras you can use.
Rachel: Yeah, that would be perfect, wouldn’t it? (she’s looking at me)
Me: Yeah, ideal.
In My Head: candelabras?
Rachel: Who will be the Master of Ceremonies?
In My Head: That’s the best job title ever.
Consultant: Whoever’s on duty that day.
Today’s Photo – The Baltic Flour Mills
The Baltic Flour Mills are an iconic structure on the River Tyne. In some ways it’s a symbolic representation of the changes Newcastle has experienced over the years, from an industry based region to a modern, cosmopolitan city. The Flour Mills themselves have been transformed into a centre of art and have hosted a number of high-profile events.
I personally love this building, along with the rest of the river front. It’s a special place for any Geordie. I was drinking with an old friend on the terrace of a bar along the river when the sky turned an incredible blue. I was forced to exchange my pint for my tripod and camera.
