Spring has Sprung
I visited Brookside Holiday Park, Britannia (Near Oswestry) over the weekend (13-16 March) staying in a log cabin with 4 of my friends, (yes I do have some friends!)
On Saturday Simon (H) and I decided to visit Ruyton XI Towns (yes a strange place name indeed). I wanted to visit the castle there but unfortunately there was nothing left of it at all apart from a few piles of stones so we photographed the local church instead!
As soon as I entered the church grounds this idea came into my head of photographing the church in mono but keeping the daffodils in colour.
We saw literally dozens of people entering the church, not particularly dressed up, so not a wedding, can’t be a funeral as no-one was wearing black, it was Saturday so it couldn’t be a ‘normal’ service, when we enquired it was indeed a funeral of a local man in his fifties who was run over in the village. People were wearing colourful clothing as it was said to be his wish.
